With a career spanning three decades, Bill Tucker has established a record of innovation, effectiveness, client service and talent leadership. Among his many successes since becoming CEO in 2007, Bill has led MediaVest to more than $2 billion of billings in new business and organic growth, all with a significant digital component. This growth includes Microsoft, Wendy’s, consolidated Comcast, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Turner Broadcasting, TD Ameritrade, CBS Films, and Aflac joining MediaVest's client roster.
Bill also spurred digital transformation of the agency, pulling it through all disciplines and establishing it as the engine of the company. Among his accomplishments on this front, he introduced MediaVest Cross Athletes, a next-generation breed of digitally centric, fluent-in-all-media Investment & Activation talent and launched comprehensive digital development programs. These initiatives resulted in MediaVest’s growth into one of the industry’s top-five interactive agencies.
Under Bill’s leadership, MediaVest also launched its future-forward Data & Analytics practice which puts data at the heart of the agency’s product with client-centric, cross-channel analytics capability. Through his vision, the agency continues to lead in the Content Creation, Digital OOH, Advanced TV, Shopper Marketing, Multicultural, and Research & Insights spaces, among others, as well. Further, he oversaw the rebirth of MediaVest’s planning practice as Truth & Design—resulting in record product effectiveness and acclaim and established a world-class Client Services operation, that counts celebrated brands such as Coca-Cola, Kraft, P&G and Walmart amongst its clients.
In addition, Bill’s successes have translated into numerous industry awards such as OMMA best Digital Buying and Planning distinction (2009), Media Agency of the Year (2007 and 2008), Mediaweek Digital Plan of the Year (2009), and two (Gold and Bronze) Cannes Media Lions (2009). For these accomplishments and more, Bill was named an Advertising Age Media Maven in 2009.
Prior, Bill served as President of Client Service and Agency Operations, responsible for MediaVest’s client service product, critical agency operation areas, overall strategic agency initiatives, as well as many key client relationships. Previously, Bill was EVP, Director of Client Services, leading the successful start up and growth of the Kraft AOR, among other assignments. He also oversaw MediaVest's Print and OOH units, significantly growing both practices.
Bill’s past and current activities include 4A’s Media Policy Committee, Board of Directors of the AIS, Board of Directors Traffic Audit Bureau, and Board of Directors Advertising Information Services. Bill graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree and also served as adjunct professor at NYU Stern business school for Media Planning and Buying.
